The Tweed Heads Community Men's Shed is situated next to the PCYC in Tweed Heads and we are open every Tuesday & Thursday from 9am -2pm,
we are a non profit organisation about getting men together, all age groups are welcome but in the tweed area the demographic is mainly older men who have moved here, lost their spouse, don't have many friends and don't get out or have a lot of motivation to do so, we have noticed the change in many guys now they have somewhere to go and chat with other guys in the same situation, many have said this was much needed in the tweed area, the australian men's shed association (AMSA) is australia wide with about 900 sheds in many towns and cities and growing rapidly, we all rely on government funding and fundraising activities we come up with ourselves, it has changed my life for the better and i have made many good friends, join a shed in your area and make a little difference to someone's life
come along on tuesdays and thursdays to say hi, drop in and have a cuppa and a chat, we are small at the moment but will be expanding soon with council approval, we have an abundance of tools if you wish to do something but you don't have to if you prefer to play cards etc
